Britta’s Chase
Goya Foods presents the 3rd Annual Britta’s Chase 5K in the Wild — a unique race through the award-winning San Antonio Zoo, benefiting Meant to Soar, a nonprofit helping children
Help children with wounded hearts due to parental addiction and human trafficking, giving them a chance to soar.
Inspire children to explore a world of creativity, chase big dreams, and develop skills that go beyond their imagination.
A generation that recognizes their unique gifts and the power they hold to make a positive impact on those around them.
Meant to Soar takes a personalized approach to every child we serve. We provide healing experiences and restorative services tailored to each child’s unique journey—empowering them to heal, grow, and reach their full potential. This is a small sample of the activities and resources Meant to Soar provides.
Charles and Elsa Ezell founded Meant to Soar after the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Britta, to addiction and trafficking. While raising their grandchildren, they felt a deep calling from God to bring hope and healing to other children affected by similar trauma.
Children of Substance Abuse:
Increased likelihood of early substance use and the development of mental health and addiction issues.
Potential for academic challenges, behavioral problems, and difficulties in forming healthy relationships.
Children of Trafficking Victims:
May suffer from trauma, PTSD, and long-term psychological effects due to exploitation.
Often face challenges in reintegration into society and education.
It’s through your partnership that we can help the next generation soar beyond trauma from addiction and trafficking. Here’s how you can help:
